Shanghai University of Electric Power (SUEP) is a state-owned university, founded in 1951 and located in the most dynamic city of China --- Shanghai. When it was first established, SUEP was a vocational school specialized in Electrical and Power Engineering. Through years of development SUEP has now grown into a comprehensive university covering subjects of engineering, science, management and humanities, still with a focus on energy and power-related and environment-concerned subjects. SUEP has 1,097 faculty members, including 760 teachers, among whom there are 299 professors accounted for 41.3 percents. At present, 11,423 students, including 10,466 undergraduates and 783 master candidates study on campus. It provides 10 scholarship opportunities for international students. SUEP welcomes students from all over the world.
