    Recently, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) Lao Alumna Chantha Onxayvieng was appointed as Director General of the Public Administration Research and Training Institute, Ministry of Home Affairs. This is a great honor and success not only for the university but also for China. The university sent its congratulation letters to her and shared this good news with other students studying in China.


    Chantha Onxayvieng was appointed as Director General of the Public Administration Research and Training Institute, Ministry of Home Affairs.


    In September 2012, ChanthaOnxayviengwas accepted to study for the Doctoral degree program at the College of Public Administration of HUST under the financial support of the Chinese Government Scholarship. She finished her study under the supervision of ProfessorTan Shukui, Deputy Dean of the collegeand received herDoctoral Degreein Management in June2015.


    Chantha Onxayvieng attended meeting organized by China Scholarship Council in November 2014 at Wuhan.


    What is worthy to mentionis that as Deputy Director of the Planning and Cooperation of MOHA, Laos,she actively promoted bilateral exchanges between China and Laos in public management training, as well as the cooperation between HUST and the Higher Education institutions in Laos. It is believed that she will do more to promote the relationship development between China and Laos.


    Chantha Onxayvieng graduated and received her Doctoral Degree in Management at HUST in June 2015.
