    On November 13th, SIE invited excellent alumni Ms Olga Zaynetdinova (Chinese Name is Li Mei), who is from Russia, to come back alma mater to give a speech titled ‘My University Life and Career Path’ to current international students. This activity was to celebrate 63th anniversary of SCUT. SIE Deputy Dean Hu Yongjian, staff from the admission office and from the international students’ affair office attended this activity.


    Firstly, Deputy Dean Hu Yongjian welcomed Ms. Olga Zaynetdinova coming back alma mater and sharing her career experiences. He introduced Ms. Olga Zaynetdinova how to build up her own company when she graduated after SCUT and the status of her company. In the beginning of speech, Ms. Olga Zaynetdinova attracted students’ interest by asking them a question of “Why did you choose to study at SCUT”. Students expressed their own opinions actively. Ebrahimalsayed Aljbawi, who is from Syria, said that China provided a peaceful environment for me to study here. Ms. Olga Zaynetdinova said that the reason she chose to study at China is because she loves Chinese culture and wish to be an ambassador ofChina-Russiafriendship. Then she shared her study experience at SCUT and she encouraged students tocherishthe time tolearn. During the whole speech, it was filled with smiles.


    After the speech, Deputy Dean Hu Yongjian presented a university souvenir to Ms. Olga Zaynetdinova and asked all participants to take a photo with Ms. Olga Zaynetdinova.


    Ms. Olga Zaynetdinova ova is SCUT’s 2014 Alumna from Russia. In her master’s study in SCUT, she was elected as the President of International Students’ union and also awarded as “Moving SCUT” top 10 figures in the year of 2013.
