There are over 400,000 foreign students studying in China. More than 49,000 of them are supported by Chinese Government Scholarship. Over 60% of the scholarship students are from the “Belt and Road” countries. To enhance the scholarship students’ understanding of China’s latest development and its splendid traditional culture, China Scholarship Council (CSC) have organized the “Experiencing China” activities in 30 provinces and autonomous regions since 2015. The activities focus on China’s politics, economics, technologies, culture, society, environment, etc. In the past two years, CSC have organized more than 130 such activities. More than 11,000 students from 184 countries and regions participated in the activities. Through the activities, the students visited in person the government organizations such as the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; more than 100 companies such as China Development Bank, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd, SANY, CRRC Corporation Limited, Huawei; more than 30 scientific research bases and demonstration gardens, such as China National Hybrid Rice R&D Center, Optical Valley Software, Polar Research Institute of China, the Water Pumping and Piping Project; as well as nearly 70 culture experiencing bases, such as the Green Tea Culture Park in Huizhou and Jingdezhen Ceramics Museum.
